Your race,on the map.

No app of your own needed. Your runners get Racespot free for your race, and their supporters follow them live with one link and cheer them on along the way.

First partner races in spring 2027.
The follow page: supporters see their runner live on the map

At most races, supporters see their runner once: at the finish, if they're lucky. With Racespot everyone is on the map, from the starting gun to the very last metre.

What your race gets

Everything runners already do with Racespot, with your race at the centre.

Crowds along the whole course

Supporters see when their runner is where and which spot they can still make next. That spreads the crowd and brings atmosphere to quiet stretches.

Free for all your runners

For your race, everyone who takes part gets Racespot completely free. No separate purchases to sort out.

An official race page

Your race in the app and on the site, with photo, course, elevation profile and start times. Runners pick it with one tap, in Dutch and English.

How it works

You don't need to build or install anything. We add your race and keep an eye on things on race day.

  1. 01

    A conversation

We talk about your race, your distances, your timing company and what you want to show on race day.

  2. 02

    We add your race

With your official course, start times and photo. You approve the race page.

  3. 03

    One link in your email

In the participant email and with the bibs: that is how your runners find the app and set it up.

  4. 04

    Race day

Runners start automatically in the start pen, supporters follow and cheer. We keep an eye on everything.

Together with your timing company

Racespot isn't official timing and doesn't want to be. Your timing company provides the official times, we show what happens between the mats.

The timing company

  • Chips and timing mats
  • The official results
  • Every runner, even without a phone

Racespot

  • Live position between the mats
  • Cheers and supporters along the course
  • Screens, stories and numbers

What it costs

We agree on that per race, depending on the number of participants and which screens you want. Your runners and their supporters pay nothing. Just want your race in the race list, with the course included? That's free, any time.

What we need from you

  • The official GPX of every distance
  • Date and start times per distance or start pen
  • A link to your website, plus a photo and a short text if you like

Questions from organisers

Do all my runners need the app?

No. Runners who want to be followed live set up the iPhone app. Supporters don't need anything, just a link. With a link to your timing company, runners without the app also appear on the screen with their chip times.

Does it work on Android?

The runner app is available for iPhone for now. Supporters can watch on any phone, tablet or laptop.

Is this official timing?

No. Official times stay with your timing company. Racespot shows the position between the mats and brings the race to life for supporters.

What happens to my runners' data?

A location is only shared during the race and only with people who have the link. Follow links aren't indexed by search engines. You get totals, never supporters' data. We don't sell anything on.

What if the signal is poor?

The app saves the course map on the phone the week before, and points that can't be sent go along later. Crowded start pen or not, the race gets followed.

Can it handle big crowds?

We tested it with 1,000 requests per second, that's over 13,000 supporters watching at the same time. Without errors.

When can we start?

The first partner races are in spring 2027. Organisers often decide three to six months before their race, so now is a good time to talk about spring.
